In October, I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with the Summits of Hope. I am very proud to say that this will be my third climb with them. My other two climbs were Machu Picchu in Peru and Cotopaxi in Ecuador.
What really attracted me to Summits of Hope, beside the amazing adventures and the great people, is the cause. The people in Summits of Hope climb various summits while raising funds for BC Children’s Hospital. I believe that every child deserves the opportunity to play, laugh and learn. It breaks my heart to see them trapped in the hospital fighting for their lives. Some of these kids might not have the opportunity to grow up, fall in love or experience life’s little joys. I hope that none of you will have children or nieces or nephews going through this sort of struggle. But if you do, it gives me a little comfort to know that the BC Children’s Hospital will be there helping them every little step of the way.
I’m trying to raise $5000. All the proceeds will go to the BC Children’s Hospital and help give kids a second chance in life. A tax receipt will be provided for any amount donated online. Please give with your heart. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity. Everybody has a mountain to climb, but together it doesn’t seem so bad.
