About Me
For Jason Stevens, 26 yrs old from Dawson Creek, BC is a new addition to the Summits of Hope team. He is a talented multi-tasker, who can organize his busy schedule between working for BC ambulance as a paramedic providing adaptive recreation programs for people with physical disabilities on the island and teaching wilderness first aid course for Wilderness Alert. It's amazing he has spare time to enjoy the outdoors, mountaineering, kayaking, ice climbing and snowboarding.
For Five years ago, Jason was in a serious car accident and was told he would never participate in the activities he loved. During his rehabilitation he was watching a program on Mt. McKinley. From that moment on Jason set a personal goal to one-day climb to the summit of Mt. McKinley as a testament of his complete recovery. To climb with the Summits Of Hope team not only will it realize Jason's personal goal but to support and promote a very worthy cause.
