I am really excited about this adventure. For me, this is the best kind of trip there is. I will get to experience a different culture, challenge my body physically and mentally, and work with a team of great people to overcome our own obstacles in order to give back to the kids in our community. Can it get any better than this?
I am a family girl. I love my family, and I am not sure what I would do without them in my life. My family, like others out there, has had to deal with a lot of different life challenges over the last few years, including sickness, injury and financial challenges. As a family, we have grown so strong because we have learned over the years to support each other, no matter what.
So I know you're asking... ok... so what does that have to do with this trip? It means that I truly understand and appreciate what it means to have someone step up and help out in situations where one can feel helpless or lost without that support. I believe in the fundraising goals of Summits of Hope. Supporting the families and kids of BC Children's Hospital to relieve the stress of their current situations so they can focus on being strong together as a family. Let kids be kids and allow families to become strong.
Please help me in my quest to give back as I have been so fortunate.
