In October 2014, I will be leaving on a mountain climbing expedition with a very special group of people called Summits of Hope. Our team will be attempting to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro… The highest free standing mountain known to man with an altitude of 19,340 feet / 5,895 meters. Our climb is very special, in that our goal is to raise money for children at BC Children’s Hospital. The funds that we raise will support cancer research, patient care, education, and advocacy BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the Summits of Hope Endowment fund.
I’ve agreed to raise at least $5,000 in donations by September 30, 2014. I’ve set my personal goal at $6,000. So I need your help! Please consider making a donation OR purchasing a prayer flag.
Donate Here (website works much better using Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer)
1) Go to the Summits of Hope website: http://www.summitsofhope.com/climberProfile/lance_rettinger
2) Click on the green "Donate" tab located at the top of the page
3) Select my name (Lance Rettinger) from the list of climbers
4) Complete required information and click on the "Donate Now" button to finalize your donation
A tax receipt can be received for any amount donated online
What are Prayer Flags? Bright cloth flags which are hand sewn by our volunteers and carried every step of the way by our climbers during the mountain expedition. Customize your flag with a message and we will send pictures of your flag flying on Mt.Kilimanjaro when we return.
I hope that you’ll share this incredible adventure with me by supporting me in my fundraising efforts, purchasing a flag, and following our progress as we climb towards the summit.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
