About Me

I am extremely excited and very proud to be climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro with Summits of Hope this year, alongside my good friends Clarissa Tsang and Gloria Yuen! The three of us have travelled across the globe together, as well as have done many grand hiking adventures, and they have been my constant companions through thick and thin for the past 7 years. I am so happy to be sharing this adventure with them in support of BCCH. I am a Registered Nurse currently working in the Birth Centre at Richmond Hospital, and I am continuously in awe of what an amazing job I have - getting to see new life brought into the world every day! I love the outdoors, love to travel, and strive to live life to the fullest, and so was really drawn to the Summits of Hope organization and their goal of climbing mountains for those who can't. To throw in another of my favourite quotes, from Lewis Carroll: "One of the secrets in life is that all that is really worth doing is what we do for others." Thank you for your support!! Louise PS - Along with the rest of the team, I will be carrying prayer flags with me to be hung on the highest peak possible during the climb. Tibetan Buddhists believe any prayers written on a flag will be blown by the wind to spread the good will and compassion into all. If you are so kind as to support me with a donation, there is a spot where you can leave a message/prayer/intention that I will write on a flag and carry it to the peak with me.
